Technical University of Crete

The Management Systems Laboratory (ManLab) of the Technical University of Crete (TUC) is ForEMOsT project promoter (PP). ManLab is one of the few laboratories in Greece that systematically studies the cognitive, behavioral and emotional processes underlying the entrepreneurial phenomena. ManLab has much expertise in this field and will contribute by using quantitative statistical tools and testing innovative techniques concerning the gendered gap in entrepreneurial motivation and predisposition for business growth. The purpose of the project is to develop a comprehensive framework and new culture- appropriate methodological tools based on strong conceptual foundations with the overall objective to discover the appropriate channels to render entrepreneurship as a desirable and feasible career choice for women and also promote the development of innovative ventures among women. The partnership will contribute to the establishment of knowledge on the processes responsible for the gendered gap in entrepreneurial motivation and predisposition for business growth in Greece.

University of Crete

The Applied Psychology Laboratory (APL) at the Department of Psychology, University of Crete (UoC) has an active research line in and international reputation for research on cultural differences in emotion and cognition. The partner will apply its experience in innovative research on cultural identity role in emotions and cognitions related to womens’ entrepreneurial orientations. Specifically, it will have a central role in: a) selecting the appropriate cultural identity measures that will allow comparison of employed and unemployed women social identity for entrepreneurial orientation, b) analyzing the data from a social identity and social inequalities perspective, c) framing the results on the effects womens’ cultural identity has for all aspects of entrepreneurial behavior (motivation, emotion, coping, cognitions), d) disseminate results in Social, Personality and Organizational fora worldwide.

University of Macedonia

contribution of University of Macedonia, as a technical partner, is twofold. The members of the research team have significant experience in the entrepreneurship discipline while at the same time they can contribute in gender studies and more specifically they can focus on female entrepreneurship. The partnership with the other universities research teams will improve the interdisciplinary understanding of the field of female entrepreneurship adding valuable knowledge in important fields ex. psychology while at the same time the existence of a partner like Ergani will provide access to practical understanding and will help with the diffusion process.

Ergani Centre

Ergani Centre is expert in employment and female entrepreneurship. The interdisciplinary project team has a great experience in counseling of women on individual and group level. All executives have particular knowledge and experience in the approach and investigation of needs. Ergani will provide access to practical understanding and will help with the diffusion process. The Centre also will be the bridge between theoretical development and implementation action.
